The AiDiA START program is a 6-week digital entrepreneurship program for first and second generation migrants from the African diaspora in Germany. It supports aspiring founders and early-stage entrepreneurs with essential business knowledge, community access, and personalized support. Participants join interactive weekly sessions, build practical skills, and connect with peers, coaches, and ecosystem partners.

Who is the program suitable for?
The program is aimed at solo founders and teams who want to implement an innovative business idea or professionalize their existing project.
Can solo founders also apply?
Yes! Solo founders are very welcome. We support both solo founders and founding teams.
At what stage should my startup be?
AiDiA START is ideal for all stages, from the idea phase to scaling up.
Does my company need to be already established to participate?
No, you can also apply with just an idea or a concept, as long as you have a clear vision and intention to implement it.
Are there thematic focuses?
No, the program is open to all industries. Ideas with social, economic, or intercultural impact are particularly welcome.
Is AiDiA START only for founders from the African diaspora?
The focus is on supporting the African diaspora, but the program is open to all migrant founders.
Where does the program take place?
The program takes place 100% online.
How much time should I plan for?
Plan for about 3–5 hours per week.
How long does the program run in total?

AiDiA START runs for 6 weeks.

How often are workshops held?
Two interactive modules take place weekly.
Can I participate if I am employed?
Yes, most sessions are held in the evenings or on weekends and can be combined with work or study.
How does the selection process work?
After reviewing the applications, selected founders will be contacted via email with further information.
Is there a participation fee?
No, participation in AiDiA START is free of charge.
How many startups are accepted?
Approximately 10–15 participants are selected per cohort to ensure individual support.
When will I receive feedback?
Usually within one week after the application deadline.
Will I receive a certificate upon completion?
Yes, all participants receive a certificate of participation.
Will I have access to the AiDiA Community after the program?

Yes! After completion, you will become part of the AiDiA Alumni Network with access to additional events, mentoring, and funding opportunities.

Are there follow-up programs?
Yes, successful participants can qualify for further AiDiA programs and pitch formats.
What happens if I have to leave the program early?
We ask for a brief notification. Later participation in a new cohort is possible.
